After working in restaurants for a number of years I discovered I had celiac disease. After eliminating gluten from my diet, just being exposed to it made me very ill. I decided to start baking yummy gluten free items because what I tried was not good. I strive to be the best and I hope it shows. Most of my items are also vegan, or at least dairy free, I also try to use as many local ingredients as possible. I have a dedicated gluten free kitchen, so celiacs like me can feel safe.

Our desire to farm comes from a simple hope: That we might learn to live more simply with a deep love of family and place. And while the challenges of every farming endeavor are substantial, we are also continually blessed with opportunity and wondrous experiences, such as the newness of a baby lamb and the taste of frosty maple sap on a cold March morning. Our products hopefully convey the deep sense of respect and gratitude we have for this life on a farm in Maine. Please give them a try. The loyal support of our customers over the past 10 years has been profoundly encouraging.

Springdale Farm
Saturday

We are a 4th generation family farm in Waldo, where we milk Jersey and Guernsey cows and raise beef, rose veal and pork.  We have grazed the same pastures for over 100 years and hope to continue our family's tradition into the future.  In 2016 we started a creamery to process our cows' luscious, creamy milk into tasty cheeses.  We specialize in our amazing fresh cream cheese, triple cream brie, cheese curds, gouda and cheddar.  We also provide milk to several other local creameries and bring their cheeses to the market to share vast variety cheeses Maine has to offer.  For our meats you will find cuts of beef, pork and veal, sausages and cured meats including soppressata, hard salami, kielbasa, chorizo and jerky stack sticks.
