| If I told you this was a smokehouse, circa 1900, you could well believe it but it’s working, right now, in Monroe, Maine. One of the last commercial, gravity fed (no moving parts) smokehouses. It holds 2 ton of product and is fed 30” logs from the near-by forests which sends clouds of lazy smoke to caress the hams, bacons, cheeses, sausages, salamis, chicken and fish that Andrew and Libby process. The deep, hand-made flavor can’t be matched by over-processed, mass-produced food. Come to one of our out-door markets and feel the slip of time as your senses are treated to the sight, feel, taste and smell of our old world products mingling with soft Maine air, sometimes scented with a hint of salt-sea.
